Travel Malaysia 2010 travel fair was held from 15th to 17th October 2010 at Hall 401, Suntec Convention Centre. The exhibition is organized by Express & Excursion Bus Association (EEBA) and is graciously supported by Tourism Malaysia as the Titled Sponsor.  The key sponsors and preferred partners for the event include Chartis, Genting International, Awana Hotels & Resorts, Star Cruises and OCBC Bank as the Official Bank for the event.  The Guest of Honor for the Opening Ceremony was graced by Mr Zalizam Zakaria, Director Tourism Malaysia (Singapore Office) on behalf of Dato' Amirrudin Abu, the Deputy Director-General of Tourism Malaysia.

In cooperation with Tourism Malaysia, the main highlights of the event are the state tourisms providing a unique mélange of attractions and holiday packages, as well as the multitude of special products and services offered by the major players in the tour and travel industries.  This year’s highlights include the promotion of rail tourism and homestay to the various states of Malaysia. On hand to entertain the crowd were the 'Seri Melati' Cultural Dance Troupe from Johor specially arranged by Tourism Malaysia to perform on stage at the fair. Prizes for the stage event, courtesy from Genting Resort World were very well received by the audiences.

A total of 100 exhibitors occupying a floor area of about 4,000 sqm comprising 142 booths and display area of 5 express buses were put up for the annual event.  Of these 142 booths, 54 booths were allocated to Tourism Malaysia HQ for their exhibitors by the respective state tourism boards. This year’s event saw a crowd turnout of 40,000 visitors much lesser than previous year. The reason could be NATAS Winter Fair held on the same weekend at Singapore Expo. Visitors at the fair for Travel Malaysia 2010 were always genuine and ready buyers looking out for the special packages offered by the respective tours and travel agencies, hoteliers and resorts.  Most of the major exhibitors were pleased with their sale volumes over the three days event.  In particular all the key players from EBAA, Five Stars Tours, Konsortium Express & Tours, WTS Travel & Tours, Transtar Travel, Luxury Tours & Travel, Sri Maju Tours, Lapan Lapan Travel and Desaru Fruit Farm & Travel have achieved their sale target well before the official closing of the event.

Food & Travel Asia 2010 was held on 9th to 11th April 2010 at Hall 404 & 403, Suntec Convention Centre.  The prestigious event provides a platform to exhibitors to capitalize on Singaporean’s love for good food and interesting tour packages to visitors for the mid-year holiday season in Asia.

Organized by SPHERE Exhibits Pte Ltd and IBT Investment Pte Ltd with the support from Express & Excursion Bus Association (EEBA) and key sponsors, the event showcased the various attractions in Asia to the Singapore market.  In cooperation with the various NTOs, the main highlights of the event are the tourism sector providing unique and varied attractions and packages, as well as the multitude of special products and services offered by the major players in the tour & travel industries.

Food & Travel Asia 2010 draw the crowds of over 50,000 for the mid-year holiday season to the various attractions in Asia, in particular the ever popular destination to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, China, Australia, Korea, etc. Visitors to the fair are pampered to a Lucky Draw with many attractive prizes, goodies items and special discounted packages to most selected holiday destinations.  Visitors also participated in the various exciting stage programmes and immerse themselves in planning their holiday or getting the best cuisine bargains.

With over 50 participating agents and resort operators, including EEBA main supporting members, the event presented a good marketing opportunity for exhibitors to showcase and promote their product and brand name in an exciting and impressive environment.

Travel Malaysia 2009 travel fair was held from 16th -18th October 2009 at Hall 404, Suntec Convention Centre. The exhibition is organized by Express & Excursion Bus Association (EEBA) and is graciously supported by Tourism Malaysia. The key sponsors and preferred partners for the event include AIG, Genting International, Awana Hotels & Resorts, Star Cruises and OCBC Bank as the Official Bank for the event.

The Guest of Honor for the Opening Ceremony was graced by Dato' Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, the Director-General of Tourism Malaysia.

In cooperation with Tourism Malaysia, the main highlights of the event are the state tourisms providing a unique mélange of attractions and holiday packages, as well as the multitude of special products and services offered by the major players in the tour and travel industries. This year’s highlights include the promotion of homestay to the various states of Malaysia. A specially constructed kampong house was put on display at the Tourism Malaysia booth as a major attraction to promote homestay.

On hand to entertain the crowd were the Dikir Barat Cultural Troupe and Cak Lempong from Kelantan specially arranged by Tourism Malaysia to perform on stage at the fair. The emcee, Mr Samson Zee for the three days event was spectacular and has make the stage program a fun filled and entertaining experience for the children and family to remember. Prizes for the stage event, courtesy from Genting – City of Entertainment and Neck Pillows by AIG were very well received by the audiences. The dance performance by the finalists for Crown of Honor sponsored by Five Stars Tours and Genting Resorts were also very well received.

This year’s event saw a crowd turnout of more than 50,000 visitors. Most of the visitors at the fair were genuine and ready buyers looking out for the special packages offered by the respective tours and travel agencies, hoteliers and resorts at the fair. Exhibitors at the fair were very pleased with their sale volumes over the three days event. In particular all the key players, Five Stars Tours, Konsortium Express, WTS Travel, Transtar Travel, Luxury Tours, Sri Maju and Lapan Lapan have achieved their sale target well before the official closing of the event.

The three days event has generated total sales of more than S$5 millions. Most of these sale packages were sold to popular destination in KL and Genting Highlands. Other popular attractions, includes Johor, Malacca, Cameron Highlands, Langkawi, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak.

The event was organized by Singapore Press Holdings Ltd at Hall 402 – 404, Suntec Convention Centre from 24 - 26 July 2009.  EEBA and its members participated in the event as the Official Travel Partner.  The event is a novel show concept for the demanding consumer who is looking for best value in travel experiences and cuisines.

The event encompassed travel, lifestyle product and food section. The stage program includes cultural talk, destination introductions to 101 ways on speaking a foreign language, workshops, etc. make the whole event a fun filled event and an unforgettable experience. Visitors had exceeded 100K for the 3 days event.

EEBA and its members participated under the travel section to promote the great travel deals to exotic destinations to Malaysia and beyond the Pacific regions.  Key members participating in the event includes:

In cooperation with Tourism Malaysia, the main highlights of the event are the state tourisms providing a unique mélange of attractions and holiday packages, as well as the multitude of special products and services offered by the major players in the tour and travel industries.

A total of 78 exhibitors occupying a floor area of 5,000 sqm comprising 120 booths and display of 7 express buses were put up for the annual event.  Of these 120 booths, 48 booths were allocated to Tourism Malaysia HQ for their exhibitors by the respective state tourism boards.

The three days event saw a crowd turnout of about 30,000.  Most of the visitors at the fair are genuine buyers looking out for the special packages offered by the respective tours and travel agencies, hoteliers and resorts at the fair.  Most of the exhibitors at the fair are very pleased with their sale volumes over the three days event.  In particular, key players, such as Five Stars Tours, Konsortium Express, WTS Travel and Transtar Travel have achieved their sale target well before the official closing of the event.  Most of the hoteliers, especially the mid-range hotel, such as The Emperor Hotel Malacca were also able to achieve their sale target at the fair.

The three days event generated a total of about S$4 millions in sales.  Most of these sale packages were sold for popular destination in KL and Genting Highlands.  The other attraction includes Malacca, Cameron Highlands, Langkawi and Penang.

EEBA would like to express our sincere thanks to Tourism Malaysia and all the exhibitors and sponsors for their contribution, support and presence at the Travel Malaysia 2008 fair. With their contribution, support and presence, Travel Malaysia 2008 was deemed a success in terms of sales volume generated over the three days event and the sizeable numbers of crowd at the event.  Although the crowd turnout was not as strong as we had expected visitors at the fair are serious buyers looking for the best deals and holiday packages available.  We believed too that many of the exhibitors if not all had met their sale targets and expectations for the event.

Travel Malaysia 2007 is organized by EEBA with the support from Tourism Malaysia as our Titled Sponsor and is co-sponsored by Genting International, Star Cruises, Awana, AIG and Maybank as the Official Card, is Singapore’ largest-ever travel fair that promotes Malaysia as a unique tourist destination. The three-day event, featuring over 100 booths and close to 40 exhibitors, including express bus ticketing agents and key Singaporean and Malaysian service providers and industry players. New coaches by the respective member agents will also be on display at the fair.

“Travel Malaysia” event is the first consumer-driven initiative by EEBA that is focused on promoting Malaysian tourism and increasing tourist arrivals from Singapore to Malaysia. It is part of EEBA’s on-going effort in developing market growth in interstate travel via express buses and coaches.

This travel fair is also an excellent platform for our industry to showcase their latest products and developments which travellers can look forward to.

Seven top-of-the-line coaches will be showcased at Travel Malaysia 2007 to give visitors a preview of the luxury experience that modern-day interstate buses can offer. One or two new range of express buses can be expected to be showcased at the fair. Unveiled to members of the public for the first time is a new class double decker from Transtar, aptly named Solitaire which is equipped with new features for business travellers. Other state-of-the-art buses are from Five Stars, Konsortium, Luxury Tours and WTS Travel will also be on display, showcasing new features such as individual in-seat video screen and more spacious seats.

With the support from Tourism Malaysia for this fair, EEBA provides a great opportunity to showcase the many facets of the country to Singapore travellers and the numerous unique and exotic experiences that they can discover at their next holiday trip to Malaysia.

Special performances have been specially invited to perform at this three-day event. The original cast of the movie “881” will be performing at the fair on the 26th and 27th October 2007. In addition, the local DJs from 100.3 will do a live hosting of the event on the 28th October 2007. Other performance over the three-day event includes the artistes from Star Cruises world-class entertainers (Dancers + Arcobats) on the 26th and 28th October 2007 and the ever popular “Be a Star” Karaoke Competition organized by Genting Resort World.

In addition, visitors can take part in exciting stage games, redemptions of goodies item and traveler bags and lucky draws to win attractive prizes including hotel stays and tour packages.

Visitors to the Visit Malaysia 2007 Travel Fair over the 3-days event held at Suntec Convention Centre have their chance to grab prizes worth more than $30,000.

Expect stellar bargains and packages for fulfilling holidays or short breaks to Malaysia. On top of that, visitors can expect to secure more room nights for free or get deep discounts on package purchases. The three-day event at Suntec City exhibition centre will feature tourism products from 80 Malaysian-based tourism players including hotels, resorts, theme parks and other travel related products. Singapore tour operators will also be participating in this event.

“This is a significant event for us. There are diverse attractions and many eye-opening events that will be offered at this travel fair. Clearly, the fair will highlight Malaysia as a destination of choice for Singapore tourists who wish for a fulfilling holiday or a short getaway,” say Singapore-based Director of Tourism Malaysia, Ms Rafidah Idris. She adds, “Interest in Malaysia as a holiday destination is an all time high and we expect a high turnout for this travel fair.”

More than 50,000 visitors are expected to attend this travel fair which is set to generate more than $6 million in sales. Malaysia is hoping to attract 20.1 million visitors during the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 (VMY2007), half of which are expected to be tourist arrivals from Singapore.

After a successful introduction in 2005, Travel Malaysia, the largest and most comprehensive tourism exposition on Malaysia held in Singapore, came back bigger and better from 21-23 April 2006.

Organised by Express & Excursion Bus Association (EEBA), Travel Malaysia 2005 attracted some 40,000 visitors in just three days of exhibit at premiere show venue Suntec Convention Center from 28 to 30 October 2005.

With Singaporeans comprising more than half of the 15.7 million tourists that landed on Malaysian shores in 2004, Travel Malaysia 2005, proved to be an ideal venue for exhibitors to fully connect with quality buyers who are genuinely interested in Malaysian travel, products and related services.

The event kicked off with an impressive Opening Ceremony officiated by Secretary General of Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Dato’ Dr. Victor Wee Eng Lye and punctuated by lively cultural performances by professional dancers especially flown from Sabah, Sarawak and Pahang just for the occasion.

The three-day affair showcased Malaysia’s many colorful facets through contemporary and cultural perspectives. Among such highlights were the State Pavilions that flaunted each Malaysian State’s wealth of products and attractions.
